Life of Tags and 'Good Mornings'

The world has transformed itself into a tech-savvy place in no time. Every generation ranging from the youth to the octagenarians is engrossed in this Digital World. The messaging apps like Whatsapp, Snapchat, Hike and other Social Networking Sites like Facebook has reduced our intellect, communication and relationships to tags and 'good mornings'. The messages and tags have become the part and parcel of our lives and have caused a loss of intellect and worth in this fast-pacing world. These tags and GM scandals are gradually decaying our cerebrum and eating it up like pests.

People are busy tagging each other on Facebook through the spiralling memes on the internet. This tagging has increased manifold and all the posts that line up the home page are tagging memes. These tags symbolise, if  I may sardonically say, that the people who are tagging each other remember the person they tagged and so they are important in their lives. This importance is absolutely worthless and unimportant, rather a small talk would have been heartfelt. Whatsapp is a medium of sending 'good morning' (GM) messages every morning. Everybody involved in this GM scandal wakes up and the first task at hand is the dispatch of these messages by broadcasting it or spreading them through groups. The most unnerving fact is that those people expressing good morning to every Tom, Dick and Harry would have no thought of wishing good morning to their relatives verbally.  Instead of these messages a simple 'Hi' would have a greater chance of conversation and enhance the relations. This is a sheer waste of time as well when people instead of sharing some intellectual message waste their time in spreading such messages. Also, a person who is the victim of this scandal has to mute the groups, exit the groups, ignore the messages and finally delete this junk from the mobile. As these messages take up whole chats of people they may ignore some important messages under the belief of a useless message especially in WhatsApp groups. Slowly, the person who sends such messages also loses importance and worth and gradually, sorry to say, he is blocked.
